Aiming to Expand Product Sales Across Asia,
Using the Middle East and Africa as Key Hubs

SOMETECH (CEO Yang Hee-bong), a manufacturer of 3D laparoscopes and surgical microscopes, announced on the 3rd that it participated in the world's largest medical device exhibition, ‘Arab Health 2025,’ held in Dubai, UAE.

Arab Health is the largest medical and healthcare exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. It has been held since 1975, gathering companies and experts from various fields such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare services to network and exchange ideas to develop the healthcare industry. As the exhibition grows in size, next year it will move to the larger Expo Dubai venue instead of the usual DWTC.

SOMETECH is focusing on expanding its global influence by participating in overseas exhibitions and local promotional activities. From the 27th to the 30th of last month, it showcased its representative products and a variety of medical devices at the exhibition. Leading with its 4K 3D surgical microscope, VOMS-400, SOMTECH also presented 3D laparoscopes (VLS-200, COT-200) and 4K endoscope systems (VES-400).

The 4K 3D surgical microscope, in particular, is developed based on cutting-edge optical technology, offering sharp image quality and depth. The 4K resolution allows precise visualization of the surgical area, and the microscope can be adjusted vertically and horizontally for optimal use of operating room space.

At this Arab Health event, SOMETECH left a deep impression on global buyers already familiar with the company and received positive feedback from buyers from various countries including Morocco, Jordan, Moldova, and Qatar. These interactions revealed significant demand for the products.

SOMETECH plans to focus on expanding product sales across Asia, using the Middle East and Africa as key hubs. The company held meetings with existing partners in the Middle East and secured larger contracts compared to last year.

A company spokesperson stated, “We will continue focusing on promoting our products, ensuring they match or exceed global competitors, and highlighting the strengths of our various product lines. We will also participate in AEEDC, the largest dental exhibition in the Middle East, starting from the 4th, showcasing the 3D dental microscope, VOMS-202D, and the electric surgical device EasyEndo, which is ideal for endodontic treatments.”

The spokesperson also emphasized, “We will conduct aggressive marketing for the CE-certified VOMS-202D and introduce the EasyEndo, which is tailored to the high demand for endodontic treatments in international dental markets.”
